Vijay to encounter with a Mumbai baddie

Posted: 26 Dec 2011 05:32 AM PST

For Billa 2, director Chakri Toleti relied more on the Bollywood sprints for the baddie roles. Hence he imported more than three artists for the destitute roles. This has been insisted by Ajith too. Now Vijay starrer Thuppakki, directed by AR Murugadoss is on the floors around the Mumbai locales.

Having sensed the local charm and the native relics, both ARM and Vijay have decided to instill more effect on villainy. For this they have picked Gautham Kurup who won fame for his thumping performance in Kandhahar. This has made Gautham more happy to work along with the star from Kollywood. He expressed his joy on having been associated with ARM, since he has been longing for such occasion since Ghajini.

Though there is no official buzz nor any sneaks about the story of the movie, it is learnt that ARM is aiming on a theme of national importance. This could be the mixture of Mani Ratnam's Roja, Kamal's Unnaipol Oruvan and Thala's Mankatha, it is believed.
