The sudden turn of events in her career took much pleasure both for her as well the audience.

She had opportunity to make her reel talents with the AR Murugadoss coproduction Engeyum Eppothum. Her appearance in Mankatha has yielded a special mention from the critics and the reviewers. However, the heroine in her could be mustered in just two films, the other being the latest Thambi Vettothi Sundaram. Actress Anushka is No1 in Tamil Cinema 2011

Posted: 16 Dec 2011 09:48 AM PST

This tall, hefty and sexy figure from the Tollywood ventured to the Kollywood through Arundhathi. Despite being a dubbed version, the film made a resounding effect on the audience with good box office in all the centres. But at that time Anushka would not have imagined that there would be a red carpet for her in Kollywood in a span of three years. Though she got good offers then, it was Singam in the last year that broke the hitches in her career. Prior to that she paired with the Ilayathalpathy in Vettaikkaran but she flew away with the film's utter flop.
Came the year 2011 and she could not meet the Tamil audience much due to her commitments in Tollywood. This year she appeared in just two movies of good repute, Vaanam and Deivathirumagal. Of course, Vaanam is the remake of the Telugu version but Deivathirumagal gave a nice platform for Anushka to render her talents. Till now she is looked upon as a glamorous actress not to the core of a real heroine with some sort of quality, barring Deivathirumagal. Yet, the ensuing year promises a lot for her in Kollywood as she is to pair with Arya in Selvaraghavan's Irandam Ulagam. She is more fortunate to hear that the superstar Rajnikanth's Kochadaiyaan is expecting her consent for the role. All these reflect her charm and flexibility of the profession.

Thamanna says that she is busy till 2018

Posted: 16 Dec 2011 09:14 AM PST

Actress Thamanna says that she has many films in her hand and no actress can challenge her. Speaking about this, she said, "Cinema is a glamour world. New heroines are required for each film. Because of this there is competition. It is very challenging.

Not only in cinema alone, the competition prevails everywhere. If we are prepared then only we can succeed. As far as cinema field is concerned, their lives of actresses are short lived. Only the heroes have long life.
Now this trend has changed a little. Had the Telugu film Happy Days would have flopped, I would have been airhostess by now. Since this film was a great hit, I became a full time actress. I should say that it is God's grace and my luck. Now I am busily acting in five big films. So far I have signed for 20 films apart from these. I will be acting nonstop till 2018. I can openly say that no actress can defy me."

Christmas Musical Delight – Nanban and 3

Posted: 16 Dec 2011 09:10 AM PST

It used to be Bollywood that usually considers Christmas season as the best time to release the films and music. Apparently, the tactic has now passed onto Kollywood as their expansive market across the Hindi speaking territories has increased. To be precise, both the albums 'Nanban' and Dhanush starrer '3' is the most expected music for non-Tamil speaking cohorts as they strike closeness with them.

'3 Idiots' created sensation for its aesthetic style of making and even songs performed well. The remake version with Vijay and Jeeva in lead role with Shankar wielding megaphone has grabbed everyone's attention. The audio launch will be held in the concert of Harris Jayaraj at Hindustan College in Coimbatore. It is worth mentioning that major portions of scenes involving college were shot in this campus.

'Why This Kolaveri?' doesn't need any introduction as the song is already the most favorite of masses across the globe. Both Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya are busy planning up for the best way to release the music.

What's common between these albums is that the music launch will be held on the same day of December 23.

Incisively with the yearend holidays commencing from the same date, it's gonna be a big treat for the music buffs.
