Music Director A R Rahman's 'Comeback' in Kollywood?

Actress and director Nandita Das, who impressed the Tamil audience and critics with her performance in Azhagi, Vishwa Tulasi and Kannathil Muthamittal, will be seen playing an important role in Seenu Ramasamy's Neer Paravai. Seenu Ramasamy, who directed the National Award winning Thenmerku Paruvakatru, said that the character Nandita Das is about to play in Neer Paravai has the intensity of the role Saranya Ponvannan did in Thenmerku Paruvakaatru. He also cited Nandita's extraordinary talent as the factor for casting her.

The actress will be shooting for the film in May. Presently the film's crew is at the coastal region of Tiruchendur. The film is being produced by Red Giant Movies. It features Vishnu and Sunaina in lead roles. Jayamohan has penned the dialogues for the film.

'Billa 2' is a mega budget flick featuring Ajith Kumar, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah and many others. The Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is directed by Chakri Toleti.

As 'Billa 2' is becoming a huge sensation, the makers have decided to release a special calender of this film. As this movie features 2 high profile models-cum-glamour queens, the makers decided to use this opportunity and make a special calender. These pictures for this calender were shot in Goa.

The images of Parvathy in Bikini in the calender, does not have anything to do with her character in this film. It is to be said that, this calender would be launched by these 'Billa 2' Heroines in May in Chennai. This is sure to be a treat to the Thala fans.

The other good news is in store for Ajith's fans. The Audio Release of this movie 'Billa 2' would be held on May 1st, i.e. Thala Ajith's Birthday. There would be no special Audio release function. But, the Audio CDs would directly be available in the Music stores for the fans to grab them and have a blast on Thala's birthday.

A.R.Rahman is the leading Musician in the Indian film industry. This Maestro though belonging to Kollywood, at times is not able to devote time to Tamil films. Last year 2011 was one such year. There was not even a single release from A.R.Rahman in Kollywood.

It seems, A.R.Rahman is also aware of this and worried about it. Hence, he has decided to make it up by devoting more time to Tamil movies this year. As much as 5 films are expected to be released under A.R.Rahman's Music.

Those 5 films in A.R.Rahman's Music are Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal', Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan', Dhanush's film 'Mariyaan' directed by Bharathbala, Gautham Menon's 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru' and a project with Director Shankar also.

On speaking about this, A.R.Rahman said, "Yes, it's almost like a comeback of sorts for me. I'm making up for my absence. I would compose for as much as 5 films in Tamil this year".

Last year, A.R.Rahman was very busy with concerts and Bollywood and Hollywood projects. Rahman is very excited to make his comeback in Kollywood.

ARR has a very good relation with Mani Ratnam. Hence, he decided to use the opportunity from, when he got call from Mani Ratnam from 'Kadal'. At present, ARR is also working on Rajini's 'Kochadaiyaan'.
